From the Pastor
“Where are you from?” is a term we often hear. People often ask us that question to find out our origins and to develop common bonds. We answer in various ways, including with our place of birth or with our most recent setting.
I have found myself answering that question with, “I am from a very energetic and compassionate church.” I answer in that manner not so much to surprise people, (it really does that) but to share how I and others from our church are being molded. You see, we are being molded not so much from where we have come as much as where we are going. After all, does it matter whether you come from the city or from the farm? From this state or another? Not if your focus is upon where you are going.
I invite you to join us in letting the present setting of an energetic and compassionate church help mold you into a person who can focus upon your future. With God’s help and the support of your church it will also be an energetic and compassion filled future.

Whether you are joining us for worship for the first time, or joining us for the many programs and events we offer, here are some things that might make your visit more enjoyable. You will find a warm and welcoming environment at AUMC.
The main entrance is in the front of the church on the southside. There is a pretty view of our church from highway 59. As you come into the church you will be greeted by one of our greeters. There is a drinking fountain along with restrooms immediately to the right. With easy access to the sanctuary, fellowship hall and to our Sunday School wing.
Our church is handicapped accessible with everything on a single level. The handicapped parking is on the west side of the church with doors that will lead into our fellowship hall with easy access into our church sanctuary.
We have two Sunday morning services lasting approximately one hour – 8:00 am & 10:00 am worship services. Both services feature the same message and themes. Both worship services have overhead projection to follow along with the full hour of service. Our sanctuary also has a hearing enhancement device.
At the 10:00 am worship service there is a children’s message that is given to help children relate to the sermon topic.

Use the far door on the left hand side from the front entrance of the church when coming to Sunday School, this will bring you into our Sunday School wing. For more info on Sunday School, click here.
Come just as you are! We do not have a specific dress code at AUMC. While some members of our congregation are more comfortable in formal attire, many of our members dress much more casually.
Children of all ages are welcome in our worship services, we do have a Nursery where you can take your child (0-5) to have a little quiet or play time. The nursery is not staffed, but is open to all who would like to use the nursery.
2nd Sunday of each month (September – May), when Grace Notes Choir sings at 10:00 am worship service, join us for fellowship and coffee hour with refreshments afterwards.
