We encourage adults at Albany United Methodist Church to get together in fellowship and learn the scriptures. You can get connected in the following ways:

Bible Studies

Seeking to help us further understand the Word of God.

Every Sunday this summer at 8:00 – 8:45am.  After Labor Day @ 8:45 am to 9:45 am (between services) in the Fellowship Room, starting Sept 10th, 2023.

Adult SS Leaders:  Darrell Clark, Eunice Clark and Diana Kittleson

We at the Albany United Methodist Church, want to help people learn to study the Bible. Through our group, you will mature in your faith and you’ll have the chance to help others grow.  Together we read, discuss and look to understand God’s Word and how to apply it to ourselves, our family and our community. We will begin Sept 2020, with a study on the Book of Philippians.  Social distancing and the use of masks will be utilized.  All are welcome!

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” John 1:1

“…faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the Word of Christ.” Romans 10:17

Women

WOW

1st Monday of each month (September – May) @ 6:30 to 8:00 p.m – Temporarily cancelled due to COVID 19

WOW stands for “Women of Wonder” or “Worn Out Women” depending on the day.  We have a short program & try to take on a new mission each month.  Our missions have included the Women’s shelter in Monroe, and Care Net Pregnancy Center, the assisted living behind the mini mart, senior apartments, the angel tree at the bank, the Ronald McDonald House & a special family at Christmas to name a few.

We have had some wonderful speakers & great topics at our meetings.  Among those: one lady traveled a couple of hours to talk with us about angels;  another showed us how to make a gift card; Joan Kamholz talked with us about cancer; another lady shared her information on “BOB” (Box of Balloons – a not for profit organization that reaches out to identify children in need who have upcoming birthdays.

Our future missions include a fundraiser for our youth to help them pay for their first mission trip, Family Promise, St. Jude’s and the Food Pantry.

If you have any questions, please feel free to call/email Kathy Meyer at (608) 862-1222.  Feel free to join us on the first Monday of each month at 6:30pm at church!
